Pre-Application Preparation

Check substrate compatibility: Test a small amount of PU Sealant For Car on an inconspicuous area to ensure adhesion and no surface damage.

Clean the surface: Remove all dirt, grease, oil, rust, and moisture from the bonding area using a degreaser or isopropyl alcohol. Allow the surface to dry completely (no residual moisture).

Mask the area: Apply masking tape along the edges of the sealing area to ensure clean, neat lines and easy cleanup.


Application Steps

Cut the sealant nozzle: Use a sharp utility knife to cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle. The diameter of the cut should match the width of the gap (typically 3 to 6 mm for automotive applications).

Load the sealant: Insert the PU Sealant For Car cartridge into a standard caulking gun, ensuring it is securely positioned.

Apply the sealant: Hold the caulking gun at a 45-degree angle to the substrate. Squeeze the trigger steadily to extrude the sealant, filling the gap completely. Move the gun slowly and uniformly to avoid bubbles or gaps.

Tool the sealant: Use a damp finger or a tool to smooth the surface of the sealant within 10 minutes of application (before it becomes tack-free). This ensures proper contact with the substrate and a neat finish.


Post-Application Care

Remove masking tape: Peel off the masking tape immediately after tooling the sealant (do not wait for it to cure).

Allow curing: Keep the sealed area away from moisture, dust, and mechanical stress during the curing period. Avoid washing the vehicle or exposing it to heavy rain for at least 24 hours.

Cleanup: Use isopropyl alcohol or a polyurethane sealant cleaner to remove any excess uncured sealant. Cured sealant can be removed with a sharp tool or sandpaper.
